Huddle

G.C. and Damaris Huddle had a simple plan for a beach cottage. But they wanted to build it on a complicated hill. They bought a lot so steep that previous owners gave up trying to design a house that Bald Head’s review board would approve. Working with the ARC guidelines instead of against them, we came up with a scheme our clients loved and the ARC approved. Our design provides sweeping views of Frying Pan Shoals and the mouth of the Cape Fear River from the full width porch, 40 feet above sea level. But most importantly, it includes a screen porch where G.C. can hide from his grandkids and take a nap.
