Maher-Mathis Cottage

A couple from DC visited Bald Head and fell in love with the pace of island life.  For a few days, golf carts and board shorts take the place of conference calls and business suits.  The cottage we designed for them is classic in proportions, simple in detail, creating a tranquil pool to recharge heart and soul.  Summer days on the beach.  A Thanksgiving turkey brined in sea water.  A home away from home.
